AP — U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal, a Republican candidate for governor of Georgia, has proposed changing the long-standing federal policy that automatically grants citizenship to any baby born on U.S. soil, a move opposed by immigrant rights advocates.
Supporters of Deal’s proposal say “birthright citizenship” encourages illegal immigration and makes enforcement of immigration laws more difficult. [...]

Don’t give the car keys back to those "who drove us into the ditch" in the first place. It was 8 years of Republican control of government that is responsible for the massive economic downturn and loss of jobs. Give the Democrats a chance to turn things around and dig us out of the hole created by Bush/Cheney policies. Vote for Democratic candidates on NOV 2nd!
