Interested in becoming a Precinct Committeeman/Committeewoman?
A precinct committeeman/committeewoman is a Democratic Party official at the local level. They are on the front lines in elections, invited to special events with candidates and absolutely essential to winning elections.
The job of committeepersons is simple: Find Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters, get them registered to vote and get them to the polls on election day. The office of the precinct committeeperson is the most important position in the entire Democratic Party!
They can be the most effective people in their area to get out the vote for Democratic candidates. People are more likely to trust a neighbor – even one they don’t know – to give them useful information about candidates and the voting process.
